MPPC model + AiT applifier board (Model PB16HB-S113613006)

Three main objectives

  • MPPC characteristics: single photoelectron, cross-talk, coincidence rate, electric gain
  • LED optical fiber profile measurement (center position and width) with 4 channels
  • Cosmic ray muons: rate, light yield, at different location (in the ICISE center? basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor?)

Allocated hardwares

  • Oscilloscope for signal recording and digitalized
  • qIt is connected via Ethernet and allowed to remote control from a PC
  • qPC (IFIRSE #7, Ubuntu) is allocated
  • MPPC array (model xxx)
    • Power board
    • Amplifier board
  • Plastic scintillator (2.5cm (width) x 25cm (length) x 1.27 cm (thick)) and wavelength shifting fiber (0.9 cm diameter)
  • Multi-mode optical fiber (Thorlabs M133L02)
  • White LED
  • Function generator (model)
