School Schedule

The school will be held from July 18th to July 28th, 2023
Studens should check in on Monday July 18th afternoon.
The opening session is scheduled to take place on Tuesday July 19th at 8:30.
The school will end on Friday July 28th at 16:00 and you can take flight at Phu Cat airport to depart from around 18:00

Session hours are 8:30 - 12:00 and 13:20 - 16:40
All school sessions will be held in the ICISE conference Center

Conference facilities

The following equipment will be available:
video projector for computer presentations,
overhead projector,
internet access will be available at the school site and at the hotel.
A wireless hub is installed and covers the whole conference building.

Accommodation

For lecturers, hotel address is Anya hotel, 03 Nguyen Trung Tin street, Nguyen Van Cu, Qui Nhon city, see on Google Map; about 7km to/from the ICISE center
For students, hotel address is Khang Khang 2 hotel, 39 Ngo Gia Tu street, Nguyen Van Cu ward, Qui Nhon city, see on Google Map; about 7km to/from the ICISE center

Travel

There are two main international airports in Vietnam : Hanoi (Noi Bai airport : HAN) and Ho Chi Minh (Tan Son Nhat airport : SGN). The nearest international airport is Da Nang International airport. It is about 5 hours from Quy Nhon by train. Bus from/to the airport to the ICISE/hotel will be arranged by organizers. However there is no arranged bus from the train station to the hotel.

Covid-19 related

  • Please wear mask during the school.
  • Please monitor your temperature and let us know immediately if you find any issue with your health
  • For the international return trip, PCR inspection is provided in a hospital in Quy Nhon. The format which is requested by participants' home countries will be filled. All participants who need the inspection will visit the hospital together in July 21 afternoon.

Immigration / VISA

We list here some rules as they applied in summer 2017: we will strive to update these informations regularly, but you should make sure they indeed apply to July 2018 before traveling.

All participants do require a visa to visit Vietnam, except for few exemptions listed below. Vietnam Visa exemption is granted to holders of a passport from:

  • Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos for visits of 30 days at the maximum.
  • Philippines for visits of 21 days at the maximum.
  • Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom. for visits of 15 days at the maximum.

To obtain a visa

Please inform us your arrival date and time at the entrance airport.
This internet visa procedure is cheaper but it does take some time (~ 60 min) at the airport immigration office, depending on the queue. Do not forget to have with you 2 passport photos and USD in cash as required by the internet visa service.
