Webinar:

Search for Nucleon Decays in Super-Kamiokande

Date/time: Apr. 15th, 2021, 9:00-10:30 GMT+7 (VN timezone)

Prof. Makoto Miura Prof. Makoto Miura, ICRR, The University of Tokyo, JP

Abstract: Proton decay, which is predicted by Grand Unified Theories, is the key for beyond the Standard Model. Many detectors have been built to search for the nucleon decays but they have not been observed yet. Super-Kamiokande is the largest detector to hunt the nucleon decays in the world and I will discuss about the latest results from Super-Kamiokande.

A footnote: Neutrino Group, IFIRSe is going to apply for joining Super-K collaboration and we are looking for more Ph.D students with us to search for the proton decay and the diffuse supernova neutrino background with this experiment.
