Neutrino 2020

“Neutrino 2020”, a biannual Neutrino conference, will start tonight, June 22nd, 7pm GMT+7 ~

Full agenda and slides can be found at
With more than 500 posters which you can browser from now on
The conference introduces a cool thing, called “Virtual Reality” to interact virtually with poster presenters https://nu2020-hubs.org/#/
Registration is free; accepted an online registration until July 2nd
There are few contributions from our Neutrino group, IFIRSE.
——
1) CP violation and mass hierarchy with a combined sensitivity of T2K-II, NOvA, and JUNO
Please note this is with simulation, not data. For short, if T2K (based in Japan) extends the run until 2026, NOvA (based in US) until 2024 and JUNO (based in China) start taking data from 2021 and for 6 years, what we know before the start of Hyper-K and DUNE (expected around 2027) are
– The mass hierarchy will be determined definitely
– CP violation sensitivity can reach for more than 4 sigmas with 50% fractional coverage of more than 3 sigmas

2) Toward MW-class High Power Proton Beam at the J-PARC Neutrino Beamline

This highlights the major works to realize the MW-class power proton beam. What we contribute is building a non-destructive beam profile monitor, so-called Beam-induced fluorescence (BIF). During the beam commissioning in Jan. 2020, we make the first observation of BIF at the J-PARC neutrino beamline.

If you are interested in the above works or the like, please consider joining or collaborating with us now and we can contribute to Neutrino 2022!
Enjoy!
