Title ALMA Dust Polarization toward Protostellar Cores and Disks
Abstract:
Recent advances in high-spatial-resolution polarimetric observations, in particular with ALMA, allow us to resolve the small-scale (~ 100 au) characteristics of dust polarization toward protostellar cores and disks. ALMA observations reveal the diverse properties of dust polarization with wavelengths and location, which suggests the presence of different polarization mechanisms in protostellar environments. In this talk, I will briefly review the current status of ALMA dust polarization observations and discuss perspectives on this research topic.
